Our client is seeking a Communications Associate to support their Marketing & Communications Team.

Job Details:

Location: NW Washington DC

Format: Hybrid

Rate/Salary: $26-30/hour

Background Check: Standard

Candidate profile and qualifications :

Experience in 3+ years communications or marketing

Technical Skills : Proficient inMicrosoft Office Suite, Email Marketing Software (EMS), Customer Management Software (CMS)

Soft Skills :proactive, strong interpersonal and written comms skills, professional, strong attention to detail

Education : BA/BS preferred, ideally in Marketing/Communications, years of experience can compensate

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Develop and produce high-quality written content, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media updates, to effectively communicate the organization's message.

Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and other media contacts. Assist in coordinating media outreach and responding to media inquiries.

Digital and Social Media Management: Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence. Develop engaging content and monitor social media channels to interact with and expand the audience.

Internal Communications: Support internal communication efforts by creating and distributing memos, emails, and other materials to ensure employees are informed and engaged with company initiatives.

Event Support: Assist in planning and executing communication strategies for events, including preparing promotional materials, coordinating logistics, and providing on-site support to ensure successful event execution.
