Overview
Job Purpose
As a member of the Value Added Product team, this is a position for a Senior QA resource to test, maintain, support, and enhance testing processes for products implemented by the development team.
Responsibilities
Implementation of test plans, test infrastructure, test automation and project plans.
Project management - May lead or direct the work of others, changing priorities as needed.
Responsible for keeping products in line as far as quality, functionality and usability.
Directs quality assurance functions covering the full software life cycle.
Works with product development team, technology team and customers to identify and assure quality of product.
Conducts system and integration test and validation activities.
Serves as Second Level Support for product line.
Training Support and Operational teams.
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge/experience: 5+ yrs Quality Assurance and software testing
Work skills/ general skills
Python, scripting languages (e.g. bash)
Experience implementing software quality processes and procedures
Windows and very strong UNIX system level experience (3-4 yrs experience in a UNIX environment)
Demonstrable Unix shell scripting skills
Experience with automated tools
TCP/IP knowledge
Strong problem solving, analysis skills needed
Candidates must be self-directed
Communication skills, attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Programming experience with Python, Java or C/C++
Market Data knowledge a plus
Qualifications/education: BS degree in Computer Science or information technology or relevant experience
Schedule
This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
Base Salary Range for New York Candidates
The expected base salary for this role is between 115,000 - 149,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
