Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial records and reports, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
Forecast financial performance and prepare annual budgets.
Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing training and development opportunities.
Oversee the month-end closing process and ensure timely completion of all financial reporting deadlines.
Work closely with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
Stay up-to-date on current accounting standards and regulations.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Behaviors:
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP and internal controls.
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
CPA license
Minimum 5 years of experience in a progressive accounting role, with at least 2 years of leadership experience.
Certifications:
CFA,CPA, and/or CTP required.
Physical Demands:
Sedentary Work – Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
