Overview
In this position, your primary goals will be to create and customize commercial website designs using Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite. The overall objective of your tasks is to ensure that every client’s website is designed well and optimized for user experience while including key elements that contribute to the overall success of our client’s marketing strategy.
Day To Day
As a full-time in-office team member, you will be expected to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday. We recommend working 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, but if you believe an alternative schedule would be more productive, please inform your direct manager.
You can expect to spend most of your time at your desk working on designing websites and other marketing collateral. Your day may include meetings with managers or other team members and responding to emails and other communications. Alongside other team members, you will design new websites and make updates as needed. Overall, you can expect a reasonably structured work schedule with frequent opportunities for collaboration and communication with others.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Design Beautiful and User Experience Optimized Websites
You will collaborate with our development team to create functional, informational, and beautifully designed websites. You will use Figma to create wireframes, low-fidelity, and high-fidelity prototypes for all pages of commercial websites across various device sizes. Design layouts will include the selection of colors, inspiration images and typefaces.
Additional Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, marketing strategists, and developers, to understand client requirements and project objectives.
Apply user-centered design principles to deliver intuitive and engaging website experiences.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX design and web development.
Design marketing collateral, including but not limited to social media posts, presentations, and print materials.
Accurately tracking & self-organizing your work in our project management app.
When needed, communicate via phone, slack, and email with managers to ensure project deadlines are met.
Assist with various tasks around the office as needed.
Helpful Skills, Experience and Technical Knowledge:
Work experience as a UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing website design projects.
Proficiency in Figma, with a deep understanding of its features and the ability to leverage it effectively.
Solid knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Experience in conducting user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
Strong ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and visual design assets using Figma.
Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, WordPress, and Elementor.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions to stakeholders.
Familiarity and Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
Understanding of SEO best practices.
Education:
Associates Degree (Preferred but not required)
Experience:
Web Design: 1 Year (Preferred but not required)
Compensation:
$30,000-$50,000 (based on experience)
