Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective maintenance and repair of equipment, systems, and facilities within an organization. This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills. Facility Maintenance Supervisor will help supervise maintenance technicians and collaborate with other departments to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal functioning, safety, and longevity.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime, maximize productivity, and prolong equipment lifespan.
Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and facilities management, to efficiently prioritize and address maintenance needs.
Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization and compliance with financial constraints.
Coordinate and oversee external contractors/vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs as needed.
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in maintenance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a culture of safety, and adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance tasks.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks on tools, equipment, and machinery to optimize functionality and extend lifespan.
Assess maintenance needs, address reported issues, and maintain a clean and well-maintained environment at stores and other locations.
Handle light electrical, mechanical, and carpentry repairs, including installations and modifications.
Perform floor installations and repairs, following proper preparation, measurement, and techniques.
Utilize and maintain assigned tools, equipment, and vehicles for maintenance duties.
Document all maintenance activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with team members and departments to efficiently coordinate maintenance efforts and resolve issues.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
A High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
3 - 5 years of maintenance experience. Preferably in Refrigeration, Maintenance, Construction, or Real Estate related industries.
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within maintenance or facilities management is preferred.
Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Certified Property Manager (CPM), or related certification is preferred by not required.
Proficiency in reading plans and specifications, with the ability to coordinate activities with third-party vendors.
Familiarity with OSHA and ADA regulations, ensuring compliance in facility operations.
Knowledge of building management and maintenance operations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Excel/Word/Outlook, Gmail, and Google Suite.
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
Ability to be results-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive.
Ability to thrive under pressure and adhere to constant and challenging deadlines.
Able to work independently and with a team with accuracy.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements:
This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
Ability to use tools and equipment, including but not limited to knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
Working Conditions:
This job is performed in an environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors associated with food production.

Employment Type: Full Time
Location: 133 Randolph St. Brooklyn, NY
Travel: 50%
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9AM - 5:30PM
Available to work on weekends and holidays as necessary.

Compensation:
The pay range for this job is between $80,000 and $100,000 per year. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
