Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Director of Sales within Digital Solutions. This crucial role will expand our B2B footprint, driving revenue growth, and establishing long-term partnerships with renewable energy clients. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of the renewable energy industry and expertise in sales operations and enablement, process optimization, data analytics, and bid and proposal management.
Key Accountabilities
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the renewable energy sector.
Sales Enablement: Understand industry-specific landscapes and trends, and position our wind and solar energy solutions to meet the unique needs of each client.
Sales Execution: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to highlight the value and benefits of our software hardware/controls solutions. Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while ensuring clients’ satisfaction.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure a seamless client experience.
Forecasting & Analytics: Provide accurate sales forecasts and report on sales activities and results to senior management.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments within the renewable energy sector. Leverage market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and identify new business opportunities.
Bid and Proposal Management: Play a key role in the bid and proposal management process, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), and other commercial opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales operations or related roles within the renewable energy industry or a comparable technology-driven sector.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably software, hardware/controls within the renewable energy or technology sector.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools preferred.
In-depth knowledge of sales and commercial processes, best practices, and the ability to deliver effective sales strategies.
In-depth understanding of the renewable energy industry and market dynamics.
Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable sales plans.
Experience working in a multicultural global environment.

Anticipated base salary range: $150,000 - $175,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
