Clouderas powerful data warehousing engines have run mission critical workloads for the worlds largest enterprises for over a decade; and now they are available in a cloud-native service. We need a leader to take this data service to the next level.
As the **Product Management Director - Cloud Data Warehouse**, you will play a pivotal role in defining product requirements and working across multiple engineering teams to ensure execution. + **Create** and execute a product strategy that appeals to the unique needs and requirements of Cloudera customers
+ **Manage** the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution
+ **Define** product requirements based on an intimate knowledge of the specific market segments, customers, and existing product capabilities
+ **Drive** field enablement, working to ensure that solution engineers and account executives have what they need to be successful
+ **Work** directly with customers on the front line, helping to drive adoption
+ **Build** relationships with key customer stakeholders to ensure that we remain laser focused on the customers experience and satisfaction
+ **Identify** new opportunities for Cloudera to innovate on behalf of our customers

+ **Advance** the state of the art for user experience, price-performance, and security of hybrid cloud based data warehousing****To be successful in this role, you will need...****
+ 5+ years product management experience
+ 5+ years of experience in the data industry
+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
+ To thrive at high bandwidth, context switching regularly across multiple work streams
+ Excellent written and verbal communication, applied equally well to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
+ Technical and business acumen to interface with and lead teams of all levels and disciplines within an organization, from engineers to senior leadership
+ Experience managing a cloud service - preferably one providing enterprise platform software in a PaaS or SaaS form factor
+ Deep knowledge of AWS and/or Azure
+ Understanding of Kubernetes concepts, architectures, tooling, etc
+ Experience with building cloud services that satisfy enterprise security requirements and that help customers reduce cost
+ Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and techniques
+ Storytelling and narrative building experience using the written word, as well as data and metrics
+ The ability to design and help execute on holistic go-to-market strategies for both new and mature products
+ Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from disparate sources in order to drive conclusions
+ A keen sense of empathy to understand other perspectives, and discernment to incorporate them into your decision-making process
+ Examples of how you took a user need or opportunity ? framed it into a product capability ? validated the concept ? got it built ? drove its adoption ? and monetized it****Desired attributes for this position include:****
+ MBA, or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field
+ Intuition and design thinking to continually simplify the user experience of a product that is forever growing in capability and complexity
+ Track record of identifying industry trends early in the lifecycle and fitting them appropriately into products you manage
+ Experience managing, creating, and/or using distributed data systems
+ Ability to design an end-to-end architecture for a data solution in the analytics space
