Job Title: Finance Associate

Aimco is a diversified real estate investment company with a nearly 30-year history of growth and innovation in the multifamily sector. Today, the Aimco platform is focused on a total return strategy that includes development, redevelopment, and other opportunistic investments that offer the prospect of outsized returns on a risk-adjusted basis, while also maintaining an allocation to stabilized properties.

We’re looking for an FP&A Finance Associate who will work closely with the existing team and leadership to build and support monthly forecasting, executive reporting, annual budgeting, and other strategic financial and data analysis.

Essential Functions:

Support monthly and quarterly variance analysis of business and property performance versus annual budget, forecast, and prior year.

Prepare financial analyses including monthly forecast updates and annual budgets.

Build and distribute reports utilized by senior leadership and business partners to drive sound decisions.

Assist in the preparation of financial reporting to support quarterly and annual SEC filings.

Work extensively in MS Excel, Workday Office Connect, and Adaptive Planning.

Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or similar. 2-5 years’ experience in FP&A or Accounting preferred.

Qualifications: Advanced Excel skills, excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and people skills. Combines detail-oriented focus and a big-picture perspective.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Non- Supervisory

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business or equivalent. At least 2-5 years’ experience.

Qualifications:  Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and people skills. Combines detail- oriented focus and a big-picture perspective.

Work Environment: Office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Travel may be required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to sit, talk, or listen.
