Job Description

Building Construction Manager

AECOM is searching for a talented and experienced construction manager experienced in public and security facilities. This position will reside at the project site in Prince George’s County and will report to the AECOM Baltimore office.

The Construction Manager will oversee all aspects of the building construction process. This includes project management, contract negotiations, scheduling, and ensuring the project is within budget, on time, and meets or exceeds client standards.

Responsibilities:

Direct and manage construction projects from pre-construction to commissioning.

Review contract documents and discuss design specifics with Architects and Engineers

Negotiate and execute contracts and change orders with Subcontractors and Owners and Project Manager

Lead meetings with Owners and Architects to discuss project changes and resolve outstanding questions.

Manage the overall financial health of projects by reviewing subcontractor invoices, tracking profit and budgets

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Qualifications

Minimum:

BA/BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field and 8 years of construction management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred :

Construction management experience with government/municipal buildings and security facilities

Experienced in Construction project life cycle.

Experience in all phases of construction projects; budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor/vendor coordination

Possession of a professional construction certification such as the Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Associate Constructor (AC), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or Project Management Professional (PMP)

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $145,000.00 to $166,400.00.
