Our engineers understand that each project requires knowledge of intricate construction processes to skillfully blend technical expertise with the experience of our multidisciplinary professional team. We are currently searching for a Mechanical Engineer for our Dallas, TX office. The individual will be responsible for:
Designing mechanical systems for highly integrated facilities. Perform load calculations, static pressure calculations, pump head calculations, energy analysis, etc.
Develop mechanical specifications, AutoCAD and 3D BIM modeling of systems, mechanical equipment schedules, etc.
The applicant will be expected to work independently with minor guidance on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
Position may include field investigation and mechanical inspection for projects.
As required, the Mechanical PE is expected to work with others, with the team, or outside of the team to complete mechanical system designs for more complex projects.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
PE required
Position requires high verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Prefer proficiency with Revit
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED is desirable
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
Master degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with HVAC- related emphasis
Minimum 5 years experience with mechanical system design for healthcare, education, science and technology, and federal
Experience in HVAC and plumbing system design
Mechanical system design experience for water/waste water experience is a bonus
