Position Overview: We are adding an Operations Project Manager to our team who will coordinate overall manufacturing activities between all manufacturing departments and support functions, to meet project quality, delivery, and cost targets. This individual will be the single point of contact and coordinator between operations and the project team(s). As the Operations Project manager, you will be involved in engineer-to-order, capital equipment manufacturing projects from order to shipment. A successful candidate for this position is hands-on and positive minded person. A person who embraces change and is passionate about manufacturing were paying attention to details and organization is critical for success. What your day may look like: Coordinate overall manufacturing activities for light rail vehicle and/or locomotive projects. Organize interdepartmental activities and issues affecting production, including interactions with all Production Departments, (Supplier) Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management. Coordinate and drive resolution of issues impacting successful production activities. Facilitate overall production plans to ensure on time delivery and within planned budget. Ensure all project quality requirements are met. Monitor and report on project budget and schedule performance and initiate measures to mitigate any budget overruns or schedule slippage. Report project status on a regular basis to Operations Management and Project Management team. Drive cost reduction measures in operations departments.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
What you need to be successful: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years demonstrated experience in project management, supplier quality management, industrial engineering, or operations management in an engineer-to-order, capital equipment manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience in the manufacturing of large and complex industrial products. We would be impressed if you had: Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline. Experience in manufacturing large engineer-to-order capital equipment environment. Rail Industry experience in manufacturing or (supplier) quality management. Weld manufacturing and quality.
The base salary for this position is $96,800- $130,700. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
