CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
Supports excellence in client experience
Works collaboratively with HM and Medical Director
Practices high quality, gold standard medicine
Examine, diagnose, and treat animals brought into the veterinary clinic/hospital for medical care
Perform surgical procedures as needed, including routine spay/neuter operations as well as more complex surgeries
Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and preventative care plans
Counsel pet owners on animal health, nutrition, behavior, and overall wellbeing
Interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood work, etc. and develop treatment plans
Maintain comprehensive patient medical records and documentation
Assist in emergencies and provide urgent/critical care when needed
Stay up-to-date on new veterinary techniques, medications, and best practices
Competencies And Experience
Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of CA
2+ years of clinical experience, preferred
Strong clinical skills and sound medical judgment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Time-management and delegation abilities
Exercises sound judgement and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skills
Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others
