Position: Catering Event Coordinator - Hourly
Reports to: Catering Director
Job Summary:
The Catering Event Coordinator will work directly with the Catering Director to ensure the logistics of each event run smoothly. Responsibilities include financial planning, facilitating event logistics, communicating with staff about event execution, and evaluating the success of each event.
Primary Job Duties:
Work with the Catering Director on sales and booking of events.
Utilize TripleSeat event management platform for all booking, client communication, billing and payment.
Execute all event logistics including staff scheduling, pre-event, event and post-event planning, set up, coordination with culinary team, and liaison with client.
Create a budget and keep track of invoices and receipts for each event.
Communicate with on-site staff through clear banquet event orders to ensure event logistic needs are met.
Provide excellent customer service during the event, ensuring the schedule is followed.
Evaluate the success of events and be ready to present results to team members.
Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Catering Director.
Required Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required, associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
1-2 years of work experience in event management
Excellent communication skills for working with clients and other team members
Ability to budget and keep track of event planning expenditures using relevant software such as Excel
Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and organization skills
Current food and alcohol certification.
