About The Role
The Air Travel Coordinator uses SABRE to arrange air travel logistics for our clients. This position requires finding the lowest rates and presenting best air travel options for either group or individual reservations. The Air Travel Coordinator will also handle any travel-related issues that may arise during work hours as well as after-hours (via mobile) in the event of an emergency. Candidates must have the ability to work independently with a professional attitude and display leadership qualities at all times. This position requires an exceptional level of hospitality and the ability to maintain client satisfaction.
What You'll Do
Client Communications
Communicate at a high level regarding all services and present options.
Positive attitude and solution-oriented mentality are required.
Maintain client relationships, projects, and deadlines, and assist in any conflict resolution.
Exercise discretion and confidentiality with production/client information.
Be adaptable and flexible to constantly changing requirements dictated by client-driven or other factors.
List Of Duties Includes, But Not Limited To
Responsible for SABRE items – individual reservations, stars, queues, and most importantly group ticketing.
Work with Account Managers to determine itinerary, air travel needs, and financial considerations.
Responsible for booking and managing air charter reservations.
Study routes, regulations and consider cost, availability, and convenience of different types of carriers to select the most advantageous route and carrier.
Advise the client about the best air options for the routing requested.
Research and negotiate debit memos received
Responsible for notifying all Account Managers on schedule changes for clients.
Make routine decisions which comply with existing guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Maintain on-call status at all times to ensure clients’ needs are met.
Set realistic deadlines with company managers for completion of cities/tours.
Exercise limited discretion and independent judgment to respond appropriately to clients’ needs.
Qualifications
2-3 years of SABRE experience required.
3-5 years of professional experience in a client-serving role
Passion for building relationships
Dynamic team player
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree required
Experience in travel, logistics, or hospitality industry a plus
