The Manager of Security will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of security operations within our organization to lead and ensure the safety and security of our behavioral and mental healthcare facilities, clients, and staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of health care security regulations, policies, and best practices and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols. The candidate will also have proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage security personnel and systems. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of security best practices.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety and security of all personnel and assets.

Manage and oversee outsourced security personnel, including hiring, training, and scheduling.

Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.

Collaborate with the clinical programs and departments to establish security requirements.

Develop and deliver training programs for staff on security policies, procedures, and best practices, including emergency preparedness and response protocols.

Monitor security systems, including camera systems, access control, and alarm systems, to detect and respond to security breaches in a timely manner.

Manage and investigate security incidents and breaches, document findings, and implement measures to prevent recurrence. This includes breaches of patient privacy, theft, vandalism, and workplace violence, ensuring prompt and appropriate responses and documentation.

Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in security technology, threats, and regulations, and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.

Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate security efforts and responses.

Prepare and present reports on security metrics, incidents, and compliance to senior management and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to healthcare security, privacy, and patient safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Criminal Justice, Security Management, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.

Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPP, CISSP) preferred.

EXPERIENCE :

Proven experience in security management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

In-depth knowledge of security principles, practices, technologies, and regulations.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.

Proficiency in security-related software and tools, including camera systems, access control systems, and incident management platforms.

Flexibility to work non-standard hours and respond to emergencies as needed

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office. Proof of automobile insurance required.

Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record to use agency automobile to travel to locations other than primary office and/or for the transportation of clients.

SAFETY SENSITIVE JOB CLASSIFICATION:

This job is classified as a “safety-sensitive” position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Due to the “safety-sensitive” classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening.
