MWH Constructors , a global leader in heavy civil and process construction of water and wastewater facilities, is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a BIM Coordinator to support critical wastewater infrastructure projects as they relate to the water/wastewater treatment of both municipal plant and semi-conductor manufacturing facilities. This position may be based in Portland, OR; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; fully remote/virtual or as a hybrid arrangement with travel.
The position requires experience with 3D/BIM design applications with emphasis on Autodesk Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, BIMTrack and/or Civil 3D. The candidate should preferably be experienced with process mechanical and electrical systems, infrastructure, and structural design associated with water and wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using various design applications as they relate to mechanical, electrical civil, and structural disciplines. Candidates must have US Work Authorization.
Essential Functions
Manage model creation and integration.
Review and coordinate multiple disciplines with local and remote subcontractor teams.
Interface with PM and CMGC to deliver JV BIM deliverables.
Ensure model quality control with respect to MWH, JV, subcontractor partners and client standards and the curation of the model information.
Collaborate with other technical professionals on project teams.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates must have US Work Authorization.
Construction Management or engineering background.
Five to Eight years of experience as a BIM Coordinator.
Prior experience with 3D/BIM design applications with emphasis on the Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIMTrack and/or Civil 3D.
Prior experience with 4D visualization, 5D cost modelling and 6D asset/facility management would be welcomed
Prior experience with ACC or Bentley tools
Prior experience with process mechanical and electrical systems, infrastructure, and structural design preferably associated with water and wastewater treatment plants.
Minimum three years with 3D design and a functional understanding of the building information model (BIM).
Excellent writing and communications skills in the English language.
Ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in the water and wastewater treatment industries.
Multi-disciplinary experience with process mechanical systems, civil infrastructure systems and structural systems a plus.
EPC and/or Design-Build, GMGC or Progressive Design Build experience preferred.
Industrial experience preferred.
