We are looking for Network Architect- Edge Cloud specialist. Work location: Portland, OR and unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S
Responsibilities
Provide solution architecture and engineering for MEC (Multi-access Edge Cloud) to support 5G network functions at edge and other edge use cases for Telcos.
Build Prodapt practice and capability in MEC/Edge by developing reference solutions, hiring, mentoring, customer collaboration and consulting.
Deploy and troubleshoot Edge Cloud by following SOP/MOP documents either in POC labs or customer reference environments;
Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Kubernetes (K8s) clusters using Cloud documentation and industry best practices.
Provide support for onboarding network functions including technical design collaborations with NF vendors;
Configure and troubleshoot networking within and outside Edge Cloud using expertise in routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, LACP, VRFs, VLANs and IPAM, and L2/L3 switching and routing;
Configure and troubleshoot Cloud VPN (IPsec) tunnels between Edge Cloud sites and Edge Cloud to central sites;
Support any hardware and software issues in Edge Cloud;
Write, troubleshoot, and resolve support tickets using bug systems like JIRA; Lead and participate in Edge Cloud troubleshooting with NF partners and Edge Cloud vendor/service provider; and Support Edge Cloud and Cloud Networking Domain SME hiring and training.
Travel and relocation possible to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.
Requirements Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems followed by 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive experience in the related occupation of Software Engineer, Technical Leader/Senior Professional I, Senior Engineer, Engineer, or equivalent using routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, LACP, VRFs, VLANs and IPAM, and L2/L3 switching and routing.
