Position Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position, based in our Los Angeles and Orange County offices.
As a Credit Analyst at Reliant, you will play a crucial role in evaluating financial risks and ensuring adherence to sound credit practices. This position demands well-informed credit assessments through detailed analysis and close review of the Sponsor’s current and past financial profile. Your efforts will help consistently document a package for further internal Underwriting review, including Loan Committee.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform detailed credit analysis, evaluating the financial profiles of Sponsors.
Consult with both internal and external sources regarding Sponsor applications.
Provide consistent and accurate updates to both peers and your supervisor.
Monitor and analyze market trends, economic conditions, and industry-specific factors.
Recommend and implement best practices as part of Reliant’s dedication to creating an industry-leading customer experience.
Work efficiently under minimum supervision.
Pay close attention to detail and consistency in analysis and findings presentation format.
Advise and/or review peer work product as a quality control.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is preferred.
Five plus years’ relevant experience in credit analysis and financial statement evaluation.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with industry-standard credit scoring models and underwriting processes.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel or other ‘spreads’ formats.
