The Opportunity
Nexla is at an exciting inflection point, having already found product market fit, and is now hard charging into revenue growth through intensified go to market efforts. As part of this growth effort, the company is hiring its very first US based Sales Development Representative. This is a great way to flex your "customer first" superpowers, grow your network and to deeply understand the science of sales in the data space.
Your north star will be to uncover opportunities with prospects and customers and to maximize opportunities from inbound marketing leads. You'll use your curiosity and creativity to research prospective customers, develop outreach strategies, and identify sales opportunities. You will also conduct exploratory conversations with potential customers, use your technical and business acumen to connect Nexla as a solution to their identified pain points.
Since we are rapidly iterating our GTM function, there will be a fair amount of experimentation involved during this phase. We are in a mode of testing - tossing out what doesn't work and quickly double down and scaling what does work. In terms of tools, we currently use Salesforce, Hubspot, Outreach, Sales Navigator and Zoom Info. All that is subject to change as we are rapidly experimenting with the latest and greatest technology.

More about what you will do in this role:
Within 1 Month, You'll
Learn our product and be ready to explain clearly and succinctly what Nexla can offer
Work closely and collaboratively with Marketing and Account Executives to develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies
Start to conduct high volume prospecting (60 - 100 per day) to qualify leads through calls, emails and social media and book 3+ meetings
Have a full understanding of the inbound and outbound sales operations process at Nexla as well as Nexla Sales tools/CRM
Within 3 Months, You'll
Hit your groove and able to make 500 dials a week
Be fully ramped and able to book 12 meetings per month
Build the beginning of several 6 figure enterprise deals by teaming up with Nexla Account Executives
Become a lead qualification machine - constantly refining and honing your questions based on what works in various verticals
Within 6 Months, You'll
Consistently meet or exceed meeting targets, showing a clear contribution to the sales pipeline with the opportunities you've created
Have a conversion rate of 35%+ within 30 days of first meeting
Grow to the point where you can mentor and coach other BDR's on effective strategies and best practices
Use your position an our foundational US based BDR to be a leader and push others ont the team to excellence through positivity and influence

This is a US based remote role with occasional travel to our HQ in San Mateo, CA.
Compensation Range
Annual Base salary for this role is between $50k to $65k depending on the candidate's experience and location. The OTE will be between $65k to $90k with an opportunity to exceed. Health benefits including medical, dental and vision are offered, as well as a 401K program.
