The Space Command and Control (SC2) program in Colorado Springs, CO continues to grow. We are seeking a Senior Network Designer to support Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) programs in Colorado Springs, Colorado .
In this Senior Network Designer role, you will perform as part of a high-performing team and have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative technology in an agile environment interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to include a Joint Industry Partnership Team (JIPT) and Working Groups.
Job Responsibilities:
Utilize agile best practices and tools to organize and prioritize work within the program
Perform system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture
Install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components
Plan, develop, design, integrate and maintain all computer applications, including specialized applications specific to the program’s objectives
Plan and coordinate highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release
Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives
Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability
Perform the restoration of complex computing service operations
Perform complex system problem identification and resolution
Integrate security solutions into information systems
Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning
Experience in both Windows and Linux administration, or one with the ability to learn
Lead others to identify, evaluate and document complex computing system requirements.
Lead activities to architect, design, build and test delivery systems and components
Provide technical leadership to evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments
Provide technical guidance and consultation for the implementation and usage of complex delivery systems
May require varying work times as needed
Required Skills:
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting CISCO-backed networks
Experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware
Prior/current experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Unix / Linux (RHEL) server/workstation
Desired Skills:
Experience troubleshooting operating system and installation problems
Experience installing applications and software
Experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Server 2016-2019, Windows 10)
Experience with maintaining/configuring AD to include applying domain group policies
Experience with a VMware virtual network environment
Develop PowerShell and Linux scripts to enable consistent, high-quality integration of hardware assets
Experience in Agile Methodologies
Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
Experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
Experience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution
Experience with System Backups, Network switch configuration
Experience leading technical projects
Experience resolving complex system problems
