Annual Compensation range: $65,000 - $70,000
Location: On-site required in South Phoenix , 3617 E La Salle St. Phoenix, AZ 85040
Shift: Full time, exempt
Bonus: Eligible for Quarterly Bonus Program, up to $300 per quarter!
Due to ITAR, all employees must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Responsibilities:
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in an industrial environment.
Integrates Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing and ISO methodology.
Develop detailed manufacturing process plans for new products
Improve manufacturing process plans for existing products
Develop work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process workflows
Design work-holding fixtures for machining, welding, and assembly
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues with demonstrated urgency
Maintain high product quality and manufacturing yield
Identifies ways to reduce costs and increase productivity
Works with CNC Programmers and other Engineers on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) including: Design for cost, Design for test, Design for assembly
Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
Develop and prepare engineering (SOLIDWORKS) models, assemblies and detail drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets and other data.
Apply necessary GD&T per ASME Y14.5, to created drawings.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineering degree or equivalent experience
3 years related manufacturing experience REQUIRED , Aerospace strongly preferred
3D Cad experience is a must - Solidworks strongly preferred
Experience with or working as a supplier for large aerospace manufacturers
Experience with creating comprehensive process routers and manufacturing drawings
Familiar with CNC machining equipment (i.e. lathes, mills, multi-axis equipment, etc.)
Familiar with ancillary processing of metals (i.e. heat treat, nitride, anodize, plating, etc.)
Ability to quickly and accurately interpret blueprints and associated technical specifications
Ability and willingness to work under pressure, manage competing demands and tight deadlines
Strong operational instructions writing and editing skills
Ability to work independently and in a team, effectively
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Lean manufacturing skills and experience are a plus
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work Saturday’s, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
Other experience that includes:
Customer experience with Honeywell, Woodward, Raytheon, & Northrop Grumman is preferred
