**Job Summary**
This position is responsible for internal, remote, and on-site support of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) approved property management, external to property management systems, hotel IT operating systems, and central reservations systems for franchised locations, globally. The position is expected to be the in-house subject matter expert (SME) for the SynXisCR, Opera PMS, Opera Cloud, Opera Payment Interface, hardware, and operating system requirements related to premise deployed systems, SSL connectivity, and an overall working knowledge of hotel networks, firewalls and connectivity principles. This person will also be responsible for updating and maintaining multiple application/systems documentation and best practices deployment approach for the approved systems.
**Responsibilities**
* Assist in certification process for new/existing Opera SMEs and support trainers on WHR deployment policies and procedures via an on-site quality process which ensures readiness for new implementation staff to manage this role.
* Manage our Trainer/SME knowledge base for all premise system deployments, all OPI-EMV premise, Cloud, multi-property deployments.
* Manage install escalations with vendors, property management system training team, and WHR implementation team. Coordinate work and engage with technical support teams (WHR and vendor) as situation dictates.
* Work with internal and external customers to test, document, and deploy new PMS/CRS functionality. Acting as the PMS/TWI subject matter expert.
* Lead on-site application deployment of PM systems and maintain implementation documentation and standard for the property management system trainers and cutover support associates. Lead client engagement for complicated deployments where hardware, operating systems and network connectivity are critical components.
**Complexity**
Candidate must be able to make swift decisions and/or solution issues that arise, engage with appropriate contacts/teams within and outside of WHR and represent product/application integration level expertise. Candidate will have complete organizational support; however, direct, daily oversight will be minimal. As such, candidate must be able to work independently. Decisions made by the candidate impact our franchisees and our company both from a reputation and financial consideration. Candidate must be comfortable making independent decisions and determinations on best course of action. Candidate will be responsible for engaging and supporting contracted employees who complete property level work on behalf of WHR.
**Scope/Financial Responsibility**
Using this position to complete hardware installs, provide remote and on-site application support as well as central systems best practices for our PM and CR applications results in an average savings $6,500 per install as compared to using third party resources. In addition, this position can drive revenue if the candidate were to complete an on-property installation for us (average new install cost is $7K per site).
**Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills**
* Must have an extensive knowledge of property level systems (existing knowledge of WHR approved Property Management System offerings is ideal).
* Must be able to interact with all levels of staff both internally and on property.
* Must be able to work independently.
* Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner and complete work on time.
* Must have flexibility to work nights and weekends if the situation requires.
**Experience/Certificates/Education**
Minimum Education
* 1 year of education beyond H.S.
* 2-year degree is preferred.
