The Direct Sourcing organization is looking for a Direct Sourcing Commodity Coordinator to play a key role within the Direct Sourcing team. This will be a Commodity Coordinator role responsible for supporting the Commodity Management teams of Architecture and Technology/Furniture. This individual will help drive procurement purchase order processing and scheduling for the group.
Key Qualifications
You are a validated professional who possesses a strong business acumen and experience managing strategic supply chains, cost models, and complex procurements.
Proven experience in an environment operating globally and with distributed teams.
You have a background in purchase order issuance and tracking.
You have a background in procurement scheduling and tracking.
You have excellent interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
Supplier management, procurement, engineering or contracting experience within finishes and fixture systems. Experience with complex interior finish systems, fixtures, or merchandising assemblies, including lighting bill of materials is a plus.
Description
The Direct Sourcing commodity coordinator will be responsible for supporting material procurement through request for quotes, raising purchase orders, routing in project management software, and review of invoices received for preparation of approval.
Responsible for supporting material procurement's schedule by maintaining the internal scheduling tool per assigned commodities.
Oversee scope and timelines for project deliverables.
Responsible for supporting Commodity Manager's multi-sourcing and counter sourcing workflow including drafting and issuing of Request for Proposals (RFP). Subsequently will support the assessment of proposals, leveling, and reporting on outcomes of RFPs.
Evaluate unique and complex supply chains to improve existing supplier strategy for the commodity teams to expand the supply base.
Travel as necessary to support and facilitate new supplier bring-up and ensure quality specifications are met for worldwide supply base.
Support internal partners for cost and schedule efficiency opportunities.
Support new supplier on-boarding processes, with a focus on developing a diverse network of suppliers in line with Client's overall diversity goals.
Ensure precise execution of project delivery and quality for the commodity team.
Support forecasting to ensure zero airfreight exposure for the commodity team.
Supply demand balance for complex projects and supply chains.
