Merakey  is currently seeking a full-time  Addictions Medicine Physician  to join our team in the  Philadelphia, PA 19131.

Merakey Parkside Recovery  is located in Philadelphia and is committed to the delivery of high quality, comprehensive services to individuals who suffer from chemical dependency. We are designated as a Center of Excellence for Opioid Use Disorder. The treatment philosophy is centered upon a Recovery Model that assumes all clients have the potential for improvement leading to recovery. Merakey believes that people can and do recover from mental illness and chemical addiction. Recovery encompasses an individual's whole life, including mind, body, spirit and community.

Our clinics offer Outpatient, Medication Assisted Treatment (Methadone, Suboxone, Vivitrol), Peer Support, and Case Management Services, and is seeking a progressive Addictions Physician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Participates in compliance reviews, chart audits, and case consultations to ensure ongoing quality of care that advances the standards of all behavioral health and medical services.

Promotes the Merakey goal for the extension of integration of care.

Determine the proper dosage level for clients and the best opioid agonist medication

Prescribes, orders and discontinues all medicated assisted treatment dosages.

Ensures all physical examinations are completed, certifying each applicant is eligible for narcotic treatment.

Is compliant with State Licensure Standards, accreditation standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies.

Earn $250,000 /annually.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Licensed Physician or Psychiatrist (BC or BE) in the state of Pennsylvania.

Meet all state OTP licensing requirements including Board Certified in Addictions or have successfully completed or will complete within one year a course of study in opiate addiction that is approved by the DBHDS.

DEA license.

ASAM certification preferred.

One year of experience in the provision of services to persons who are addicted to alcohol, narcotics or other drugs (preferred)

Successful completion of State required background check and required trainings (i.e. CPR and First Aid Training).

Have or obtain X Waiver.

Excellent oral and written communication skills
