**Along with working for a prestigious multinational technology company, we provide you with training and assist in you getting the highest government clearance in the U.K.**
Due to the importance of finding the right people and having you qualify for DV Clearance, the start date for this position is March 2022.
If you would like to work with us in the meantime, we may be able to find you other opportunities within Securitas before moving you to the data centre in 2022.
**How you will make an impact as a Security Officer**
* Conduct external and internal security patrols and carry out routine tests of security equipment.
* Maintain all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.
* Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to management.
* Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring the safeguarding of the premises.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
* Report instances of property at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged and/or vandalised.
* Display an outstanding level of customer service.
* Display the highest standard of personal presentation to maintain the image of Securitas and the customer.
* Identify opportunities for improving practices and processes.
* Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.
**Required Skills**
**Requirements**
* Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
* No current criminal convictions.
* Must have British Nationality or Dual Nationality with one being British and have lived in the U.K for the past 7 years.
* Willing and able to undergo DV clearance questions and processes.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
* Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Be punctual, reliable and IT literate.
* Have an enthusiastic proactive attitude and be able to prioritise workload.
* Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
**Desirable Skills**
* If you have previously held DV clearance, it is preferred but not essential.
* If you hold SC clearance.
* Ex or current military and police.
