Midas Hospitality is seeking a Accounts Payable Accountant to join our accounting team. This person will be responsible for accounts payable functions for Midas managed hotels. This includes insuring invoices are entered accurately and timely with Hospitality Standards as well as working with the Accounting team to provide detailed information for financial purposes.

What You Will Be Doing
n
n
Review entered invoices for description, coding, vendor, etc.
n
Process large volumes of transactions, approximately 2,500 invoices a month
n
Post approved invoices
n
Follow up with properties on missing invoices or any discrepancies
n
Enter and code internal invoices
n
Communicate with Managers and department heads regarding invoice and payment status
n
Set up new vendors and obtain W-9s as needed
n
1099 reporting and processing
n
Communicate with vendors to obtain Invoices, statements, and updates on payments as needed
n
Ability to work with General Managers and Accountants to reconcile payment statuses and identify missing invoices
n
Process checks manually in an emergency situation
n
Maintain complete and accurate files in order to handle vendor inquiries
n
Travel to local properties may be required
n
Assist Accounting team as needed
n
Assist with general Accounts Payable inquiries
n
Order Accounts Payable supplies such as check stock, MIRC toner, etc.
n
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

The Ideal Candidate
n
n
Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience in the accounts payable process required
n
2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
nn
n
