The role involves managing a high-performing team of 30, with a focus on strategic and collaborative leadership, and requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in scaling development functions in high-growth organizations.Candidates for the VP of Development position at The Company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 15 years of experience in nonprofit development, and a strong background in major donor cultivation and direct solicitation. Proficiency in CRM systems, outstanding communication skills, and a customer-centric approach are essential. The ideal candidate will have a nonprofit background, be adept at project management, and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Experience with government funding is a significant plus. Personal attributes should include a strong ethical orientation, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a collaborative, supportive leadership style. The role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, or Washington, DC, and requires frequent travel.
