Certified Veterinary Technician

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Obtaining diagnostic imaging (radiography, CT scanning)
Pre, peri, and post operative care for surgical patients
Anesthesia monitoring
Maintaining surgical suite and equipment before, during and after surgery
Advanced role in patient care and client communication
Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
Skills and Qualifications: Veterinary Technician Certification required
Minimum 2 year's experience in veterinary clinical setting
Skilled anesthesia monitoring techniques
Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasks
Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 50 pounds, and work on feet most of the day.

Colorado Canine Orthopedics is a progressive, state-of-the-art, small animal, orthopedic hospital specializing in ACL repair, fractures, joint replacements, arthroscopy, and neurosurgery. We are located in Colorado Springs adjacent to the University Center on Nevada Ave. and are open Monday through Saturday with Saturdays usually being a shorter day. Typical technician schedules involve a 10-hour, 4-day work week.
