Job Description Job Description Specific skills required:
Previous retail sales or customer service experience required (Prior automotive experience preferred but not required)
Candidates MUST possess above-average phone and communication skills
Must bring a positive, upbeat attitude to this role and excellent follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure customer satisfaction
Must have the ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms to customers
Must have ability to evolve and adapt to changing business needs
Responsibilities:
Greet customers, obtain information and document problems or symptoms regarding vehicle operation
Schedule and manage workflow through shop
Identify what services are needed, research vehicles' maintenance history; prepare repair order and assign to technician
Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
Check on progress of repair throughout the day. Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explain cost and time requirements in detail, and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
Upon repair completion, review and enter technicians’ labor time, close work orders, notifiy customers of completion, explain repairs and answer any questions.
Follow up with clients on the status of their vehicle.
Continue to gain automotive knowledge to help customers with maintenance and repair recommendations.
Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
