Transportation Manager
Job Type Full-time Description
**Job Description:** Oversee, manage, and centralize transportation coordination for Credo clients to ensure the agency can more efficiently and effectively meet the needs of those we serve and reduce no show rates. This is a one year (March 2022 March 2023) grant funded position; however, the agency is seeking opportunities to sustain the position post grant award.
**Essential Job Functions:**
* Represent Credo interests and needs, as expressed by leadership staff, clinicians, care managers, engagement specialists, peers, and patients to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities as it relates to coordinating transportation.
* Oversee the scheduling and coordination of transportation for Credo using the Medicaid transportation system and transportation companies that fulfill such requests, as well as public transportation and other methods as needed.
* Work with supervisor, the Corporate Compliance Department, and other relevant staff members to refine agency policies and procedures relative to transportation coordination
* Serve as the main point of contact for the Medicaid Answering Service (MAS) System, Volunteer Transportation Center, and any other relevant partners within the community to address the transportation needs of the people we serve (i.e., coordination of services, bus passes, transportation vouchers, etc.).
* Operate as the Medicaid Answering Service (MAS) System administrator, managing individual trips, standing orders, and applicable client demographic information to ensure reliable, safe, and accessible transportation.
* In collaboration with applicable team members, gather baseline data and prepare monthly reports relative to clinician productivity and no-show rates for the purpose of measuring change over time as a result of improved transportation coordination efforts.
* Provide necessary communication and information to the staff relative to transportation, as applicable.
* Upload and document trip confirmations, transportation outreach notes, and other relevant information into the clients chart (using Credos electronic health record), as applicable.
* Work with staff to verify proper demographic and benefit assignments are entered into the electronic health record system to mitigate challenges with transportation coordination.
* Process rejections, denials, or requests for additional information in a timely manner.
* Update transportation schedules as needed to reflect cancellations, no-shows, take-home doses, and other needed changes.
* Develop monthly reports for supervisor and executive leadership relative to progress on tasks, deliverables, successes, barriers, and proposed solutions to mitigate these risks/barriers.
* Assist the agency with data informed decisions and strategic planning relative to sustaining transportation coordination efforts.
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements
**Minimum Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelors degree in business, public administration, social sciences, communication, human services, or closely related field preferred.
* A combination of education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform job duties as described.
* Must have excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Must be well-organized, able to work independently, and able to meet deadlines.
* Support a person centered approach to care
* Must be able to perform well under pressure.
**Other Job Requirements:** Must maintain all laws and policies concerning confidentiality, security, and client rights as specified in the employee handbook, 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
