OASIS Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech Pre-Op PACU.
The Orthopedic And Spine Inpatient Surgical (O.A.S.I.S) Hospital is a specialty inpatient hospital which was established to set a new standard for excellence and patient satisfaction in the delivery of orthopedic and spinal surgery. OASIS Hospital provides excellent patient services and the highest level of care, with the overall goal of improving the delivery of healthcare in Maricopa County and beyond.

The Patient Care Tech is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Responsible for helping our surgical patients through their inpatient stay, providing basic care needs, under the direction of a RN.
Other general duties as needed by the Manager of the Pre-Op/PACU.

Required Skills
Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred
Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
Patient Interviewing skills
Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
Ability to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture, and EKG
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementationUSP-123
Required Experience
High School Graduate/GED
Previous CNA experience
Current Certified Nursing Assistant license
Current CPR certification
Safe operation of wheel chair and ability to assist patients
Knowledgeable in how to take vital signs, provide personal care and ambulate patients
Excellent communication skills.
Good organization habits.
Ability to work independently.
Physical demands include walking and standing, opening doors, carrying packages, helping patients to safely enter a vehicle.
