Company Description
Our client is a national leader in renewable energy systems. The Construction Manager is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of vertical and site development construction in the market. The role will work with leadership to define construction strategy, drive execution, and deliver results to meet business goals and objectives.
The Construction Manager will work to build and grow the overall construction operation, team, and culture. The position will work closely with all departments in the company including construction operations, development, sales, design, and finance to help deliver best class service with clients and vendors.
Job Description
Collaborate with designers and engineers to establish project plans and designs
Develop project budgets and timelines
Select the most efficient and cost-effective vendors
Oversee construction to ensure production meets deadlines within budget guidelines
Document status updates and process reports for upper management
Review the closing of each project to ensure structures meet client specifications
Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
Adhere to the company's policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred
10+ years of construction experience with at least five in supervisory roles; successful project management experience on large construction projects with emphasis on management of costs, schedule, communication and application of other project resources
Prior experience in the commercial construction highly preferred
Demonstrated excellent organization and communication
Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management
Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
