Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at Saddlerock Wine & Beer Co. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for serving beer and wine, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a memorable bar experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established menu and customer preferences.
Greet customers warmly and engage in friendly conversation to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
Provide recommendations on drink selections based on customer preferences and menu offerings.
Take orders from customers and accurately enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system for efficient processing.
Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and following cash-handling procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and sanitizing surfaces.
Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Collaborate with bar staff and management to develop and implement creative promotions, themed nights, or special events.
Monitor alcohol consumption and assist in preventing overconsumption or underage drinking.
Handle difficult situations, such as intoxicated or unruly customers, with tact and professionalism.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bartender, preferably in a bar or hospitality environment.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse clientele.
Strong multitasking and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using bar equipment, POS systems, and basic computer applications.
Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and compliance with local regulations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) is preferred.
