The Water Wastewater Engineer will provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, and design, and water distribution system design.
Location: Austin, TX
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience
Texas-Licensed P.E. certification
Minimum ten years of experience working with DFW WWW clients/projects.
This position will require an estimated local travel/field work for site inspections and meetings with client site representative and construction contractors.
Excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Excellent organization and design planning skills.
Self-starter, detailed oriented, and finisher.
Proficient using typical business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, etc.).
AutoCAD/GIS operating knowledge is preferred.
Expected Outcomes:
T echnical report writing
P ipeline routing alternatives design and analysis
F ield investigations/site reconnaissance
P roject permitting with DFW clients and coordination with regulatory agencies
D ata collection
U tility coordination
E rosion/sedimentation control and tree protection plans
E ngineering cost estimating and analysis
W astewater flow development and hydraulics analysis
E ngineering design calculations
E ngineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction
B id and award services
C onstruction phase engineering services.
Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates
C oordinate with team surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, and electrical engineering subconsultants
C oordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.
