The Arvada, CO location is nestled near the foothills of the front range, just west of Denver. The office is a 10-minute drive from downtown Golden and Arvada and is an easy commute from most of the Denver Metro area. Colorado offers year-round outdoor activities and is a melting pot of cultures.
Our team in Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for a Software Design Engineer to join our Space Vehicles team in Arvada, CO. To be considered for the Associate Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
Bachelor of Science degree In the field of Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering
5+ years experience in the design/development/test of real-time control software.
Desired behavioral competencies include: Innovation, adaptability, decision making, communications, customer focus, building strategic working relationships, energy, initiating action, quality orientation, managing work.
Basic technical competency required in Project Management and Finance Awareness.
Intermediate technical competency required in Applied Science, knowledge of Customer Technology, Data Acquisition, Diagnostic Skills, Document Interpretation, and Engineering & Technology.
As aa Associate Engineer, you will:
Delivery of executable software that meets performance requirements, as demonstrated by validating and verifying the software per Moog’s OSSP.
Delivery of other software work products (documentation) that meets contractual requirements and in conformance with Moog’s OSSP.
Perform project planning and oversight according to Moog’s OSSP, and provide status reporting management during project execution.
On larger projects, lead a small team of other software engineers to accomplish a portion of the software development work, e.g., low-level design, code, or test.
Control software project cost through reporting of earned value management data, and reporting scope changes to project management.
Control software project schedule through reporting of earned value management data, making sure that critical dependencies on other groups are part of the project’s Master Schedule, and by being responsible for delivering software work products on time.
Aid in the ongoing improvement of Moog’s OSSP by suggesting improvements, reporting metrics, and participating on Process Improvement Teams.

Salary Range:
The base pay range for this opportunity is $95,326 - $145,600 per year.
This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
