Task Force Manager
General Hotels Corporation is one of Indiana’s largest and most seasoned management companies. Our hotel portfolio spans across Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio and we are continuing to expand our footprint. We manage & support independent hotels and franchises of nationally recognized brand hotels across full service, select service and extended stay segments. Brand families managed include Marriott International, Inc., Hilton Worldwide, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Hyatt, Choice and Wyndham.
We are currently seeking an Task Force Manager that will provide operational leadership & guidance along with accounting, technical, and administrative duties as assigned within our hotels. Ability to travel 90% of the time is required. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of hotel accounting operations. Knowledge of different hotel brands is a plus!
Responsibilities
Provide General Manager and departmental management coverage as needed.
Conduct operational and hotel accounting training as needed.
Follow company policies and procedures and effectively.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and appearance & brand standard adherence.
Adhere to all franchise and company procedures as well as standard operating procedures.
Promote hotel’s policies and philosophies to employees and guests through direct interaction.
Complete special projects at different hotels and brands.
Adhere to all franchise and company accounting procedures and regulations.
Assist with openings, renovations of hotels, and transitions of hotels.
Assist with hotel accounting and payroll.
Requirements
2 years hotel leadership experience, preferably general manager, or controller experience.
Ability to travel 90% of the time including overnight stays.
Ability to multi-task, manage time, and prioritize.
Must be driven and able to work without constant direct supervision.
Must be willing to work on the front line with the hotel teams.
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and through written reports.
Ability to learn a variety of different hotel property management systems.
