Development Event Specialist

Marietta, GA, United States

Responsible for the success of LiveSafe Resources signature fundraising events through planning, execution, and stewardship. The position directs the execution of all fundraising events to include sponsorship cultivation, event expense and budget management, and volunteer engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Plan and execute LSR Signature Fundraising Events (A Fashion Affair, Que & Brew, Tribute to Achievement, etc.) & related LSR special event engagement activities.

· Coordinate logistics for prospective donor salon/leadership events.

· Manage each event budget according to goals and objectives, including ROI.

· Develop sponsorship solicitation plan and coordinate with key leaders to help maximize funding opportunities.

· Oversee development of event sponsorship packages and coordination of supplemental collateral.

· Develop annual project management plan and for all signature events that includes sponsor stewardship.

· Lead appropriate sponsorship and auction item asks in coordination with Director of Development approved portfolio.

· Create a post-event stewardship plan for all sponsors and their guests.

· Oversee all logistics of engagement events, to include rental facilities, guest lists, invitations, parking, etc.

· Establish/lead volunteer event committees that are responsible for the success of the signature events.

· Report on event performance, looking for the best possible return on investment, social impact, and/or fundraising return in a timely manner.

· Promote third-party events with the organization and community as approved by Director of Development.

· Assist in managing fundraising communications, social media posts and other mailings.

· Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education, Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor of Arts or Sciences or comparable experience required.

Preferred two years of experience in non-profit development with an established track record of successfully soliciting, managing, and growing fundraising events.

· Preferred two years’ experience in creating, executing, and managing highly successful fundraising events. A project management background is preferred.

· Experience or knowledge of multiple markets across Georgia a plus.

· Requires excellent community organizing, project management, customer service, interpersonal, writing/presentation skills, and attention to detail.

· Professional and polished image with comfort in dealing with corporate executive teams.

· Ability to build relationships successfully with a wide variety of constituents including donors, board members, volunteers, and professional consultants.

· Networking skills and ability to speak passionately about the mission of LiveSafe Resources

· Ability to organize tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

· High levels of integrity, trustworthiness, flexibility, compassion, and humor are necessary to address the practicalities of a growing nonprofit, along with the creativity and persistence required to elicit new thinking and change.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision, to manage multiple priorities, and to work in a deadline driven environment.

· Proficiency in project management tools, i.e. Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and constituent relationship database management software.

· Individual must be a “hands on” developer of programs and a “doer” who likes to set and achieve goals.

· Proven ability to work within tight timelines and limited budgets, ability to work with a diverse community, communicate with passion and relevancy to a diverse constituency, and fully contribute to a collaborative team-oriented, pro-active, fast-paced organization.

· Must have a valid driver’s license in the State of Georgia and driving record must comply with insurance requirements.

· Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results of background screening, fingerprint check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record.
