Overview:
Novant Health is seeking an Interventional Specialist (RN or non-RN) to collaborate with physicians and other team members to provide care to patients undergoing neurovascular, peripheral vascular, and interventional procedures, and vascular procedures. Strong team skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
Registered Nurse Role:
Pre, intra, and post care given to patients undergoing neurovascular, peripheral vascular, interventional procedures, and other imaging guided invasive procedures
Prioritize job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels and ensures timely completion of care interventions, medical orders, etc.
Administers and evaluates medication therapies, performs patient transfers, and transports patients
Non-Registered Nurse Role: Are eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (Full-Time New Hire), $2,500 (Part-Time New Hire), and $1,000 (PRN New Hire)
Prioritize job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels and ensures timely completion of care interventions, medical orders, etc.
Administers and evaluates medication therapies, performs patient transfers, and transports patients
Demonstrates independence in the specialty of Interventional Imaging

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse Role:
Education: High school diploma required. Bachelors degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN license
Experience: One-year Critical Care, ED, Cath Lab, or Interventional Procedures required
Licensure/certification/registration: State RN license required
Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test, ACLS, and NIHSS. PALS preferred
Non-Registered Nurse Role:
Education: High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred. IF RT(R): Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program resulting in certification OR graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist Program and currently registered by ARRT.
Experience: Minimum of one year Cath Lab or Interventional Procedures required
Licensure/certification/registration: ARRT required
Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing
