Job description
We are looking for an X-Ray Technologist to join our team in our north and south Austin locations. The ideal candidate will have a heart for serving others with a strong inclination for outstanding customer service.
JOB SUMMARY
Provide diagnostic imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
Position patients and perform imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
Within the scope of the job, it requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT). State licensure if required by law.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
Minimum Experience: One year experience.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR
Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

TMB Certification (Required)
SALARY: Full Time
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
A monthly bonus may be paid to eligible full time employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
