This position is responsible for assisting with the planning, developing and coordinating onsite construction and engineering activities and ensuring alignment with Graniterock’s Family Vision, Core Purpose, Core Values, Strategic priorities and business objectives.

Essential Job Accountabilities

Comply, understand, and promote corporate and division safety initiatives to ensure “Safety before All Else.”

FINANCIAL – Develop and share daily/weekly/monthly cost reports with the project team and assist with project financial forecasts.

OPERATIONAL – Manage operational tasks, including but not limited to: updating resource schedules, updating project schedules, performing quantity take-offs, assisting with material orders, and working with project teams to develop work plans in alignment with safety & quality requirements and financial & scheduling goals.

CONTRACTUAL – Understand and follow all contract documents. Notify the customer of changed conditions or added work that affects project cost or schedule.

ADMINISTRATIVE – Perform administrative project tasks, including but not limited to: reviewing/approving time cards, submittals, RFI’s, owner/subcontractor correspondence, quantity tracking, maintaining as-built drawings, T&M tags, vendor invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and owner progress payment requests.

CUSTOMER SERVICE – Represent the company, project, or department during client and project meetings to ensure effective communication. Build constructive working relationships with customers and subcontractors.

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.

0 - 2 years construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Knowledge of CADD or similar program; HCSS Heavy Job.

· Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawing, and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to discipline.

· Ability to perform trigonometric calculation either manually or with a calculator.

· Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.

· Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Knowledge of CADD or similar program; HCSS Heavy Job

· Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawing, and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to discipline.

· Ability to perform trigonometric calculation either manually or with a calculator.

· Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

This position has been identified as a “safety sensitive” role and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing, per the Graniterock Substance Abuse policy.

Salary will be determined based on the individual’s knowledge, skills and experience. Ranges are aligned with market data and/or collective bargaining agreement rates.
