The Technology team is responsible for providing and supporting staff and student online applications and platforms that are integrated, secure, and easily accessible. They work to maximize industry leading technology that furthers the needs and priorities of the institution through leadership and innovation in information technology planning, implementing efficient and scalable solutions, acquiring or developing and deploying information technology products, and delivering responsive information technology support services.
Reporting to the SIS, Director and working in close collaboration with the Academic Compliance team, Relay seeks a Technical Business Analyst (internal title: Manager, SIS Operation) to help support Relay’s next chapter work with a team that is building mission-critical infrastructure. This manager will be responsible for documenting, updating, configuring, and maintaining academic data for Relay program offerings in alignment with academic organization with the student system architecture. The manager will work particularly in Relay’s student information system (SIS), Anthology Student, while also becoming familiar with integrated platforms. The manager would be a team player who is able to adapt to change, has strong attention to detail, and has a desire for continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential responsibilities of this position, while not limited to the following, will include:
Anthology Student Configuration (40%)
Understand Anthology Student platform data architecture as it relates to academic configuration and assist in data validation efforts for imported or integrated student data.
Work closely with Relay’s Academic Compliance team to understand and ensure academic data offerings in student systems remain in compliance with state approvals.
Propose solutions to configuring new and existing academic data based on organizational need to the SIS Director through review, analysis, and testing.
Collaborate with Relay’s Admissions and Slate teams to create and maintain technical implementation timelines as a cross-functional source to represent end-to-end admissions configuration launch cycle.
Anthology Student Maintenance (30%)
Create, document, and maintain cross team configuration and training documentation resources.
Seek out and propose best practices in system management through research based on client experience to the SIS Director.
Share functionality updates and improvements to the SIS Director by staying on top of product releases.
Monitor system feature issues and work with vendor consultants to test then escalate issues through the vendor’s ticketing system.
Support with the execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the launch of new system features and/or releases.
Establish and conduct recurring audits of academic data related to configured student enrollment permutations to ensure data integrity and consistency in Anthology Student and documentation resources.
Anthology Student Support (30%)
Identify new ways to evolve current systems features in support of efficient policy processing related to academic data.
Provide routine, actionable feedback to team members about implementation projects and structure.
Help identify and create new processes and techniques to scale business analysis and solution delivery based on stakeholder requests with support from the SIS Director.
Become familiar with intersecting student systems platforms such as Slate and Canvas to help identify workflow efficiency in student systems integrations.
Support in additional projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
First and foremost, the Manager, SIS Operations must share the Relay community’s commitment to working together to improve student growth and achievement through phenomenal teacher preparation grounded in diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism. Additionally, for this position we’re looking for candidates that possess a combination of the following skills:
Bachelor’s Degree
2-4+ years experience working with online software platforms in higher education (e.g. Banner, Jenzabar, PeopleSoft, Workday).
A proven history of working cross-functionally with a diverse set of stakeholders and executing project plans that delivered value.
Proven history of delivering effective technology solutions with a mix of different platforms and services, working cross-functionally with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Exemplary communication skills, especially around stakeholder consensus-building and engagement.
Ability to handle shifting priorities and prioritize work accordingly, including navigating ambiguous situations effectively.
Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively within a team.
A passion for building solutions that enable teams to work more effectively.
Experience with and openness to giving and receiving feedback on work products and skills.
Willingness to be open to learning and adapting based on institutional shifts in priorities.

COMPENSATION
Relay is committed to creating and maintaining a compensation and benefits system that supports our ability to recruit and retain a diverse and talented team. As we make decisions about compensation, we will be guided by the following values: clarity, consistency, and internal equity. The salary range for this role is $74,250 - $111,375. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range, $74,250 to allow for an equitable starting salary process and continual salary growth during an employee’s time at Relay GSE.

All staff salaries will be capped at the salary range maximum, and
Relay does not negotiate salary offers.
