Product Marketing Manager

It's a great time to join the B2Gnow Product team as we transition to a strategic development model and launch new features and products targeting current and new market segments and personas.We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to proactively understand our customers, markets, and competitors to build and share differentiated product messaging that resonates.
Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will lead our Product Marketing efforts as you guide cross-functional teams to product success. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for understanding the market, creating compelling content, and developing and executing strategic go-to-market campaigns that drive the adoption and growth of our products and services. The PMM will lead cross-functional teams, including with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure the successful launch and engagement with our solutions. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and analytical skills to effectively communicate our unique value propositions to target audiences.
Location: Hybrid in Phoenix, AZ preferred, Remote is possible
Key responsibilities of the Product Marketing Manager include...
● Competitive Research: Conduct regular competitive research on actual and perceived competitors to refine our positioning and messaging, including making ongoing updates to a comprehensive competitor guidebook with competitor battle cards.
● Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify target customer segments and industry trends, including Total Addressable Market (TAM). Utilize insights to refine positioning and messaging and suggest potential go-to-market campaigns.
● Customer Insights: Develop buyer personas. Gather and analyze customer feedback, insights, and data to continuously update and optimize product messaging, features, and positioning. Research and report on the buying behavior of customers, resellers, and prospects to inform messaging, product roadmap, and sales strategies. Lead customer win/loss research efforts to improve product features and messaging. Identify and curate customer references, including stories, quotes, and case study documents.
● Customer Advisory Board: Create a strategy aligned with business goals and then work across the company to create one or more Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) that foster key relationships and lead to the voice-of-customer being appropriately represented in Product roadmap decisions.
● Messaging and Positioning: Develop compelling product messaging and positioning content collateral, including datasheets and feature videos, that resonates with target customers, highlighting unique value propositions and addressing pain points. Support demand generation and sales efforts by writing and publishing thought-leadership content, including newsletters, blogs, website content, and e-books.
● Sales Enablement : Equip the Sales team with the necessary enablement tools and resources, including standard presentation decks and demo scripts, to effectively communicate the value of our products to prospects and customers. Provide internal training on product features and benefits. Assist on sales calls when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product.
● Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate across the company to develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the launch of new products, features, and services, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
● GTM Campaign Development: Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns with clear business objectives that drive product awareness, engagement, and conversions in targeted segments and across various channels. Create campaign-specific messaging and content to support objectives.
● Product Launches : Plan, initiate, and lead cross-functional teams that successfully launch new products, features, and services, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and prepared for a successful rollout. Create launch presentation decks that share key messaging around new releases.
● Performance Analysis: Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product features and service adoption. Use data to identify potential opportunities to drive adoption and growth in specific segments. Measure effectiveness of GTM campaigns.
●Travel to corporate locations may be required one to two times per year.
What we'd like you to bring to the table for this role...
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Strong understanding of SaaS and the software product life cycle
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise messaging
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market trends and customer insights into effective marketing strategies
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
Creative thinker with the ability to innovate and find new ways to differentiate our products in the market
Experience in developing sales enablement materials and training programs
Proficiency in using marketing and analytics tools (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, Salesforce, etc)
Strong ability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives
Knowledge of the business diversity, heavy construction, and/or public procurement industries is a plus
