Meter Technician

As a Field Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to continually learn and improve your skills since utility metering technology is constantly being improved and updated. Responsibilities:
* Installation of Water Sub-Meters, as well as associated electronics including repeaters, transmitters and data collectors on a variety of Automatic Meter Reading Systems (AMR)
* Perform maintenance on existing systems to ensure proper operation
* Ensure compliance with regulations regarding utility sub-meter equipment
* Work independently and manage time to ensure work is completed timely and efficiently
* Complete the required reporting for each service call
* Receive inbound & make outbound calls, communicating professionally with customers, suppliers and company representatives
* Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
Training includes a 6 week training period, in the field with another technician, which may or may not be in the immediate area and require overnight travel. Ongoing ability to travel and stay overnight in some circumstances is also required, less than 25%
Equipment:
Conservice will supply a company vehicle and all the tools and training required to perform the job.
Required Certifications:
Complete certification training on NextCentury and Inovonics AMR systems, or systems deemed necessary for the assigned service area

Education: High School Diploma OR Equivalent
Schedule: Full Time, 4 10-hour shifts per week
Wage: $25-26.50/hour, dependent on experience
