The IT Delivery Director manages a portfolio of services and capabilities provided by the IT department to the business through business analysis, development, supplier sourcing, resource management, testing, and environment management. This position is responsible for adherence of Solution Delivery to the service level commitments and for ensuring that Solution Delivery continually improves customer focus by fully understanding and responding to the specific needs of the business customers. The IT Delivery Director will maintain a Service Catalogue for IT services and will ensure that any changes agreed are accurately documented and updated. This position is highly specialized with a focus on driving growth across our Worker's Compensation and admitted commercial insurance products. The role will focus on next-generation solutions and services, leverage existing investments and partner with stakeholders to create operational efficiencies, new solution offerings and a technological foundation for new and organic growth opportunities. This position will work closely with a combination of internal and external resources, individual contributors, and senior leadership. Experiences must demonstrate an ability to cultivate relationships, ideate to explore new opportunities, embody servant leadership, lead with quality, and delivery continuous improvements toward operational efficiencies and the enhanced processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
Ensure IT investments maintain their alignment to business vision and goals.
Partner with brand, department and portfolio leadership to develop a product vision, roadmap and delivery capability that maximizes value and unlocks the power of our Guidewire investments and other supporting technologies within the Worker's Compensation ecosystem.
Oversee business analysts and software engineering, development of projects and initiatives, sourcing management, testing and defect management to ensure the IT department is providing the necessary support for enterprise applications.
Plan, direct and coordinate the efforts of the business unit to manage and maintain services, the provision of which s/he is responsible.
Partner with architecture, infrastructure, portfolio, data, and operations to ensure seamless integration of platforms and optimal delivery of solutions.
Act as the custodian of ongoing live services and ensure that IT Delivery is focused on relentlessly improving the provision of these services.
Partner with brand and portfolio leadership to ensure the alignment of vision and delivery of value using managed services teams and fulltime resources.
Direct and oversee vendor relationships related to managing and expanding the brands of AF Group.
Define how the quality of service is measured through the definition and reporting of key performance indicators.
Monitor and report delivery metrics and controls.
Provide vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the development of a cost-effective department while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the organization.
Represent company in community and industry, programs and conferences.
Participate in the development of programs as a strategic partner that supports the Company plan.
Participate in development of annual departmental budget, monitor budget and identify budget discrepancies. Research cause and make recommendations.
Responsibility for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.
DIRECTION EXERCISED:
Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws.
