Accounting Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience to manage and oversee the daily operations of our client's accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This is a long term, full time opportunity located in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is between $27/hr - $33/hr. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Perform variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
Maintain and update accounting records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and provide financial support as needed.
Stay current with accounting regulations and changes in accounting standards.
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
