Role Summary

Vacation® is seeking a Project Manager to help propagate the world’s finest sunscreen products and more. Our Project Manager will work within Product Development and will report directly to the VP of Product Development. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining all new product launch timelines, leading the stage gate process, and assisting in the development of all new products. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience in project management within a product development team as well as coordinating cross-departmental teams throughout the development process. To be successful in this role, you must be a meticulous and responsive project wizard. This role is “hybrid,” with two-to-three days a week onsite (mid-city LA) with the product team.

Your Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and track detailed project timelines for all new products

Ensure on-time product launches by managing cross-departmental development processes (e.g., lead the stage gate process)

Lead weekly cross-departmental product development meetings

Create a detailed bill of material and fill & assembly instructions for all new products

Interface with design, marketing, sales, quality assurance, manufacturing, and regulatory to assure timely and cost-efficient product launches

Evaluate formula submissions with VP of Product Development; providing feedback and/or selecting submissions to be presented to key stakeholders for approval

Organize and maintain product development filing system

Track incoming submissions and ship out samples for approval

Work with the VP of Product Development & marketing team to develop storytelling for products; creating product profiles that define key ingredients, features, benefits, and claims for all new products

Coordinate and track all product testing (safety, stability, OTC, clinical, consumer perception, etc.) and related documentation

Ensure all new product artwork is in compliance with regulatory and legal standards

Create weekly status updates for 24-month product pipeline and share with leadership

Develop proactive escalation plans to avoid project derailment as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years experience in an project management, preferably within product development for a beauty or personal care brand

Must be willing to work in-person 2-3 days per week, in Los Angeles (mid city)

Ability to lift up to 25lbs

Ability to drop off packages at FedEx/UPS for expedited shipping

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
