Cyber Security Engineer

Garda is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer based in our Wayzata office who will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of security systems to provide a stable, secure technical environment. This position reports to the Global Head of Infrastructure.
Position Responsibilities
Develop security policy and standards in alignment with industry standards and best practices
Design, implement, and maintain security architecture for systems, networks, and applications to ensure they meet security and compliance standards.
Vulnerability and Patch Management
Perform vendor risk assessments
Lead incident response efforts
Build partnerships and collaborate with key stakeholders in Wayzata and other key Garda offices.
Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
Adapt approach and demeanor in real-time to match shifting demands and situations
Maintain a high level of professionalism and stay calm under pressure
Qualifications & Desired Skills
7+ years in a hands-on infrastructure engineering\architecture role
Proven experience in securing Linux and Windows operating systems
Proven experience in securing cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications
Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion, penetration testing, security risks, etc.
Experience with security tools like vulnerability scanners, SIEM systems, endpoint protection, etc.
Experience with Identity and Access management
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well alone and in a team setting
