The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for the current and long-range direction of the organization’s technology function. Their role involves overseeing the development and implementation of technology solutions aligned with the company’s goals to deliver an implantable device technology.
Duties and responsibilities
Directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise wide
technology infrastructure.
Monitors and analyses technology and trends that could improve or should affect the company's products and/or performance.
Establishes technology standards and communicates technical information to the organization.
Manages the development organization in a currently development stage business.
Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.
Qualification Requirements
Key technical talent from early development through commercial release of a class II or class III medical device in a start-up or small company (required)
Experience
Design and development experience with implantable medical devices required.
Deep knowledge of implantable device technologies required.
Implant mechanism experience preferred.
Design transfer experience preferred.
