Ensures regulatory and legal compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Serves as resource for education services and analyzes child outcome data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Delivers coaching/mentoring sessions to teaching staff on a regular basis as determined by staff needs and assessments.
Analyzes and assesses the implementation of curriculum in classrooms and ensures all activities, lesson plans, and materials are developmentally appropriate.
Participates in the development and implementation of the Teacher Professional Development Plan.
Uses independent discretion and judgment to assess classroom instruction through the use of CLASS, ITERS, and ECERS tools.
Trains employees about education techniques and provides technical assistance.
Assesses all classroom practices to ensure their adherence to program policies and ECE best practices.
Works cooperatively with other content area specialists to plan integrated education services
Provides guidance to teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans and Individual Family Service Plans as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
4 years of experience as a teacher/home visitor in early childhood education services.
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development or related field from a four-year university required. Master's degree preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Possesses a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
Required to travel extensively (> 50% of the time).
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong understanding of Early Childhood Services Performance Standards, the component plans and knowledge and application of Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.
Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.
Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Punctual and dependable attendance.
Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
Understands CII’s basic philosophy and participates fully in carrying out its mission.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Site Supervisor Child Development Permit (Home Base Education Specialist exempt from this requirement).
CLASS reliable within six months of hire (Home Base Education Specialist exempt from this requirement).
CONTINGENCIES:
Covid-19 Vaccine and booster - Due to the recent mandate issued by The Governor’s Office and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), all CII staff must be vaccinated against Covid-19 by date of hire.
Compliance with the organization’s requirements surrounding influenza, MMR, and TDAP immunizations.

COMPENSATION:
The salary for this role is $62,316.80 per year. ($29.96 per hour)
In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
