Job Summary:
The senior network engineer role is multifaceted and responsible for all Trivium networks, network security, and voice/video environments. Core responsibilities include the design, deployment, maintenance, and support of the environments according to Trivium hardware, software, and security standards.
Job Duties:
Develop and maintain network, network security, and voice/video standards in conjunction with Trivium architects
Design, deploy, maintain, and support all Trivium network, network security, and voice/video environments according to Trivium hardware/software standards and best practices
Develop and maintain complete technical documentation and associated procedures
Drive continuous improvement (performance, capacity, process) through the development, maintenance, and monitoring of reporting/monitoring mechanisms
Create, oversee, and test security measures (i.e. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Innovate and automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Mentor team members on technical issues
Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
5+ years relevant industry experience (relevant degree and certification preferred,
CCNP certification or equivalent, and
ITIL certification)
Working knowledge of the latest LAN/(SD)WAN/WIFI/Voice/Video/Security technologies
Experience in architecting, implementing, and incident/problem-solving solutions in complex/industrial environments
Experience in driving, implementing, and governing hardware, solution, and process standardization
Prior experience in leading and driving projects.
Ability to work in a team of international environment and matrix organization
Natural problem solver, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks under pressure
Desire to grow and take on additional responsibilities
Broad knowledge of technical best practices to plan and deploy new solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience in driving continuous improvement
Prior manufacturing industry experience desired
Work Environment:
This position will primarily work in an office environment where sitting for prolonged periods of time and using a computer, telephone, and other office electronics are critical. This position will also need to visit the various plant locations and spend time out on the plant floors where moving machinery produces noise.
